Can you feel the humid weather coming in? Yup, summer is here. That means too much time in your kids’ hands, which isn’t bad. If they’ve ever thought of pursuing an extracurricular, but not truly pursuing it, well now is the chance. Here’s a short list of classes and workshop they can take to inspire more creative and exciting bonding moments.


Trumpets Playshop

Trumets is the way to go if your little one is interested in dance, voice, theatre, newscasting, and photography. They’ve been around since 1993 and their impressive faculty boasts world-class talent with Audie Gemora, Mechu Lauchenco-Yulo, and many more. Just some of their graduates include are Sam Concepcion, Tippy Do Santos, and Christian Bautista. Rates start at Php4,500.

Junior Barista Workshop

This workshop by The Barista and Coffee Academy of Asia (BCAA) will teach 10-16 year olds how to make coffee-based, non-coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages. But not only that, it will also cover topics like the history of coffee, espresso making, proper milk steaming, and etching lessons to complete the coffee-induced experience. The two-day course is priced at Php4,500.

The Center for Culinary Arts was founded in 1995 and was established in 1996 and it is the Philippines’ first culinary institution and the only culinary school in the Asia-Pacific region to have programs accredited by the American Culinary Federation Foundation.
