They are the ones who lead a team, guided with a force to inspire passion and hard work. The skills they showcase are true jaw-droppers leaving everyone at the edge of their seat. With this year’s PBA Philippine Cup, it’s easily noticeably who is keeping an impressive record.
Here’s our take on the top players of PBA in each team:
June Mar Fajardo, San Miguel Beermen
He has taken home an impressive collection of awards over his career, including Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player, Best Player of the Conference, Most Points, you name it! The center of the Beermen is currently going strong as they are one of the top seeded team of the season.
Calvin Abueva, Alaska Aces
A player of pure energy and resilience, “The Beast” played an important role in the Philippines’s silver finish during the 2015 FIBA Asian Championship. Currently, he is the best rebounder for this season, giving his team the extra push to earn a top spot.
Paul Lee, Rain or Shine Painters
If his effectiveness from the line is not enough to impress you, then his shot selections will. The Rain or Shine Painter is on a roll as he drives his team onward with an offensive firepower that is unequaled.
JC Intal, Barako Bull Energy
Another note-worthy player of the Gilas Pilipinas team, JC Intal is leading his team with a fresh air of confidence that can secure a spot in the finals. This player can drive through any defense with sheer determination, leading his team from one victory to the next.

This man has been a testimony to any great player of this generation. Rocking his famous dyed hair, this 42-year old player has willpower radiating all around him. As the road warriors’ center, he has made it big again, bagging the comeback player of the year 2013-2014.

As one of the team’s most efficient players, Erram’s skill as a small forward is easily noticeable. His all-around performance will look very promising in the upcoming games.
Bradwyn Guinto, Mahindra Enforcers
This strong-bodied rookie is a force to reckon with. Mixing diligence and skill on and off the court, Guinto has been a big bolster to the team’s standing. His ability to run up and down the court, even with his big stature, is a rarity among the PBA.
Cliff Hodge, Meralco Bolts
The overall nice guy and power forward of the Meralco Bolts. This American basketball player is a force to contend with. He has garnered an impressive 117 career points and is not stopping there.
